Maxwell Swine Scholarship<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a Graduate Student(s) from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine or the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a DVM Graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine or the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darian is a Graduate Student in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at WCVM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently working under Dr. Seddon researching biomarkers of stress and neurodevelopment in swine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her career goal is to be employed at a veterinary college where she would have the opportunity to work in a research setting, in addition to having teaching and clinical opportunities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Svetlana grew up in St. Eustache, MB. She currently shares her time between Swine Health Professionals, a swine practice in Steinbach, MB and Woodlands Vet Clinic, which is a mixed practice in Woodlands, MB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a DVM Graduate from WCVM in 2022. She is interested in swine medicine as it combines her interest of livestock, animal welfare, and food safety. In her spare time, she enjoys barrel racing and spending time with her cats, Gus and Delilah.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
